PFS Field is the field application of PFS Passive Fire Solutions Inc. It is used by PFS personnel to record inspections, surveys and the documents that go with them, and to prepare the firm’s own invoices. It is not a product offered to the public, and nothing here grants anyone a right to use it.
PFS Passive Fire Solutions Inc., its personnel, and anyone PFS has authorized in writing. Access is granted by the firm and withdrawn by the firm. If you have reached the application without that authorization, you have no right to use it and should close it.
PFS Field holds the firm’s own inspection records and the business contact details of the parties on a project. How that information is collected, used, stored and retained is set out in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
The application files records to Microsoft 365 and, where the firm has connected it, creates customers, projects and invoices in QuickBooks Online. Those connections are authorized by the firm against its own accounts and can be disconnected by the firm at any time. Each of those providers handles the information it receives under its own terms; ours do not override theirs.
An inspection record is a record of what was observed and measured on a date. The application supports that record; it does not make the judgment, and it does not replace the inspector’s own competence or the requirements of the standards the work is performed to. PFS remains responsible for every record it issues.
The application is provided as it is, for the firm’s own use. It is designed to keep working without a network connection, but no undertaking is given that it will be available or free of error at any particular moment, and the firm keeps its records in Microsoft 365 rather than relying on any one device.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited at law. PFS’s responsibility for the inspection services it performs is governed by the engagement agreement with the client for that work, not by these terms.
These terms may be revised. The version published on this page is the version in force.
The laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable in it.
