PFS Passive Fire Solutions Inc. is a Calgary firm providing passive fire protection inspection, survey and advisory services. We collect only the personal information we need to do that work, and we protect it under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.
Business contact details of the people we work with — clients, contractors, installers and building authorities — so that we can deliver inspection forms, notices and reports to the parties the standards require. On site, our records note who was present. Our photographs are of building assemblies, not people; if someone appears incidentally, the image stays in the inspection file and is not published or used for anything else. If you contact us through this site or by email, we use what you send to reply.
We do not sell, rent or share personal information for marketing. We do not collect government identifiers, financial account details or health information.
We use Microsoft 365, Google Drive, Fieldwire and QuickBooks Online to store and process information. Some of these providers may hold data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessed under the laws of that country. Questions about this can be sent to the contact below.
Inspection records, including any personal information in them, are kept for ten years from the final deliverable, because the record has to remain complete for that time. Other personal information is deleted when we no longer need it.
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it, and to correct it. Write to the Privacy Officer below; we respond within 45 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
